Introductory Test Rides
Current Lamborghini owners. Interested in becoming a Lamborghini owner. Curious about the Lamborghini 560-4, or just a big fan of Lamborghini. This event is for you.
We've got 3 hours to give test rides in the new 2009 Lamborghini LP560-4 on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.
The only other requirement is that you fill out a 2 minute questionnaire after your ride.
Light beverages and appetizers will be served.

We really take pride in our Track Days and take the extra steps to make sure it's a safe track day while making sure everyone has a great time. This year it will be mandatory for all beginning drivers to attend GPI GROUND SCHOOL, which will be held here at GPI sometime in August. Gary Bockman, who is a Pro Drive Instructor, a Professional Driver AND the President of FOPIR, will head up the classroom style session. While it is required for all beginners, it is recommended and encouraged for all other participants. There is no charge for GPI GROUND SCHOOL, it will be held on a weekday evening in August TBA...and we even buy the pizza!

Lamborghini Gallardo for the Italian Cops
When the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti Grand Tourer was all set to appear in special Police livery at Salon Privé's Private and Luxury Super Car Show, little did we know that cops in Italy would find lucky donations in the form of a Lamborghini Gallardo. The Italian State Police (Polizia di Stato) has received the donation from Automobili Lamborghini SpA. The V10, that boasts of 500 bhp, 190 mph, features colors of the state police and includes a siren and flashing lights on the roof. The traffic police gets the honor of using the Gallardo, which will be used during emergency situations on the Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway in southern Italy. It's been fitted with all the gadgets necessary to transmit critical info during road traffic accidents, fires and other disaster situations. It will also feature the Italian police's Provida system which records traffic violations and sends images in real-time, and has a direct connection to the police database as well as the Elsag 'Autodetector' system for number plate recognition. The Gallardo is also equipped with first aid equipment including defibrillator apparatus with the capability to perform electrocardiograms, and automatic diagnosis of arterial pressure and the presence of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood. Apparently the cops could even use to transport plasma and human organs for transplant.
During the winter season, Gallardo's permanent four-wheel drive, will also sport special 'Sottozero' snow tires developed by Pirelli for Lamborghini.

LAMBORGHINI INTRODUCES THE COMPANY'S FIRST
CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED VEHICLE PROGRAM
~ New program includes all model years of Murciélago and Gallardo ~
Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy - Beginning July 2008, Automobili Lamborghini will initiate its first certified pre-owned vehicle program. The program, valid for all Murciélago and Gallardo models, is targeted at ensuring franchised Lamborghini dealers are the only true source for new and pre-owned Lamborghinis, boosting the Lamborghini pre-owned car market and increasing customer satisfaction.
Available only through the 31 authorized U.S. Lamborghini dealers, the certified pre-owned vehicle program offers a comprehensive warranty package complete with the same roadside assistance as new Lamborghini models.
"The new certified pre-owned vehicle program ensures all pre-owned Lamborghini's are offered to the market guaranteeing the same high standards we demand of new Lamborghini vehicles," stated Pietro Frigerio, Chief Operating Officer of Automobili Lamborghini America, LLC. "We have gone to great lengths to ensure Lamborghini customers are confident in pre-owned Lamborghini vehicles."
To be eligible, cars can not have more than 22,000 miles. The program offers one or two year coverage options with a ceiling of 45,000 total miles. All cars must also have regular maintenance documentation, pass a CARFAX vehicle history report, can not have aftermarket equipment installed (only Lamborghini original equipment and accessories) and must undergo a rigorous 150 point dealer service inspection.

'Best in Show' winners
Bill & Pat Lindquist
Gran Prix Imports hosted our 4th Annual Father's Day Car Show & Barbecue in honor of all Fathers on Saturday, June 14. There were 40 registered cars in the all comers show and we served up a great barbecue for about 150 attendees.
Best in show was won by Bill and Pat Lindquist with their very special 1968 Merdeces Benz, 280SL. One of the last in the Pagoda Series. This car is usually shown in the preservation class. Everything on the car is as delivered except for the tires and battery. There are less than 47,000 original miles.
