We really take pride in our Track Days and take the extra steps to make sure it's a safe track day while making sure everyone has a great time. This year it will be mandatory for all beginning drivers to attend GPI GROUND SCHOOL, which will be held here at GPI on Tuesday, June 10th. Gary Bockman, who is a Pro Drive Instructor, a Professional Driver AND the President of FOPIR, will head up the classroom style session. While it is required for all beginners, it is recommended and encouraged for all other participants. There is no charge for GPI GROUND SCHOOL, it will be held from 6-8 p.m. on June 10th and we even buy the pizza!

Ferrari Club and Lambo Club NW combine track day @ PIR June 18
Ferrari Club and Lambo Club NW come together for a track day at PIR on June 18th hosted by Autosports. Autosports has a great reputation at PIR and hosts the Sunset Porsche/Audi track days.
This special track day has been names the Track and Spa Day and is open to members, spouses and significant others.
This full day at the track includes: Classroom session - the basics of high performance driving. AutoX/Handling course - NOT your normal AutoX, but one designed to emphasize car control. On-Track session - High speed/high performance driving. 1 on 1 instruction with the same instructors throughout the day.

Gran Prix Imports will host it's 4th Annual Father's Day Car Show & Barbecue in honor of all Fathers on Saturday, June 14 from 10 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Stop by for fun, food and an amazing collection of exotic and collector cars. The 'BEST OF SHOW' will be voted on by all participants and will be awarded at 1:30 p.m. There is no charge to enter your car and it's open to the public.
Enter your exotic or collector car in the show by calling Cindi or Jennifer at 503-570-1019, or by dropping by the dealership and completing an entry form available at the front desk.
There is no fee to register, but space is limited so advance registration is recommended.

Lamborghini Headquarters in Santa Monica, California
Automobili Lamborghini, producer of the world's most stylish super sports cars, announced that Santa Monica would be the new North America Headquarters location.
In a move that makes absolutely perfect sense, Automobili Lamborghini is setting up its North American base in sunny Santa Monica. The company's CEO, the impeccably attired Stephan Winkelmann, admitted that the Italian headquarters would have to wait until the afternoons to phone its U.S. operation, but called this "the best decision." Although the East Coast was also in the frame for a time, California got the nod because it is "where the future trends are. It's where our PR agency is. It's where many of our buyers are," says Winkelmann.
He can say that again, Californians buy more Lamborghinis than Italians or Germans, about 30% of all the company's U.S sales, helping it make a pre-tax profit of about $72.8 million in 2007. Which is the rosiest the corporate coffers have ever looked. Oh, and there's a more powerful Gallardo just coming out -- the LP560-4 Gallardo.

Lamborghini Portland Holds Official Press Conference
Automobili Lamborghini, S.p.A., announced the official grand opening of Lamborghini Portland last week at a press conference held here at GPI in the Lamborghini Portland showroom. Pietro Frigerio, Chief Operating Officer of Automobili Lamborghini America, LLC, joined Lamborghini Portland owner Michael Warn in a short press conference to communicate this new, exciting, official announcement. The company's unreleased Gallardo LP560-4 was also on hand.
Even though we were officially awarded the franchise in November 2007, and we officially debuted Lamborghini at the Portland International Auto Show in January 2008, we had many modifications to our showroom that needed to be complete before the official announcement from corporate Lamborghini could be made.
We remodeled our showroom according to Lamborghini's Corporate Identity and it took a little longer than anticipated. We wanted to make our presentation perfect, so the wait was well worth it.
