The Esperante GT is the unleashed cheetah of the open road, sprinting off the line with effortless force. Pressed into the hand stitched leather seats, you can caress every corner of the open road without effort; the Esperante GT responds to every touch of the wheel. With timeless lines, this bred on the racetrack and refined for the open road sports car is pure heart pounding adrenaline waiting to be unleashed. With an innovative SuperFormed (SPF) aluminum body, primarily developed for the aerospace industry, the Panoz Esperante GT offers a light and extremely strong exterior. The 16-gauge material used, over the much thinner conventional material brings about a tougher and more corrosive resistant body material. The chassis is composed of modular extruded 6061-T6 aluminum alloy framed rails. The suspension is fully independent double wishbone configuration both on the front and rear with gas charged aluminum coil-over dynamic dampers and a front tubular anti-roll bar. The heart of the Panoz Esperante GT is a hand assembled 4.6 Liter V8 motor that features 4-cams, 32-valves, aluminum block and heads. Fuel is supplied by a sequential electronic fuel injection system and power is transferred to the wheels via a Tremec TR3650 5-speed manual transmission. The results are a phenomenal 305 hp and 320 ft-lbs of torque. What makes the GT differ from the Esperante is that it shares the aero and suspension enhancements that were developed for the GTLM.
