The Spyker C8 Laviolette is the Glasstop version of the Spyker C8 Spyder, encompassing the same benefits and styling of its brother. It is an advanced mid-engined two-seat sports car, characterized by lightweight construction and purity of design, with an uncompromising engineering package developed from scratch.

Engineering

The handcrafted C8 Laviolette is made out of the material of choice, aluminum. This metal requires highly skilled professionals to get the best out of it, but it gives unparalleled results. Everything on this vehicle is handcrafted, including the wing mirrors, the beautiful air intakes and even the wheels.

The Spyker C8 Laviolette's ultra-stiff space frame is manufactured from aluminum sheet and extrusions. The glass top gives you an open view of the sky above and also holds the roof mounted air scoop.

Interior

The Spyker c8 Laviolette's personality is further enhanced by a number of unusual and eye catching interior features. Reflecting Spyker's aviation heritage, the design of the instrumentation is reminiscent of those found in airplanes. The uniqueness of the interior gives one the feeling that they're not really driving the vehicle, but actually wearing it, like a fine suit. It's not about getting from point A to point B as fast as possible, but to truly enjoy the ride and come to appreciate what automotive engineering is all about.

Technical

The All Aluminum Audi 4.2 Liter V8 Engine (out of the S8 model) gives the Spyker C8 Laviolette about 400HP worth of power. In a vehicle that weighs about 2805 lbs, expect some pavement wrinkling acceleration out of this vehicle. The transmission is a 6-speed Manual mounted to a unique looking stick shift that has an exposed shift linkage. All of that power is transferred to the rear wheels and since the engine is in the rear, the handling is uncompromised.
